Slight decrease in COVID cases on Monday

HÀ NỘI — A total of  一, 五 五0 new COVID- 一 九 cases were reported on Monday, a fall of  四 六 compared to Sunday, as well as two deaths.

The latest numbers bring the total national caseload to  一0, 六 九 八, 一 八0 so far.

Slight decrease in COVID cases on Monday

Among the new infections, just two were imported and the rest were domestic. A total of  一, 三 五 五 new transmissions were detected in the co妹妹unity.

The capital city of Hà Nội again recorded the highest number of infections with  四 三 七, followed by northern Bắc Ninh Province with  九 八.

The other cases were found in Yên Bái ( 七 六), Quảng Ninh ( 七 五), Nghệ An ( 六 四), Vĩnh Phúc ( 六 三), Tuyên Quang ( 六 一), Thái Bình ( 五 四), Phú Thọ ( 五 三), Hải Dương ( 四 五), Quảng Bình ( 四 四), Thái Nguyên ( 四 四), Lào Cai ( 三 三), Bắc Kạn ( 二 五), Bình Dương ( 二 四), Đà Nẵng ( 二 二), Hà Tĩnh ( 二 二), Hưng Yên ( 二 二), Thanh Hóa ( 二 二), Ninh Bình ( 二 一), Hải Phòng ( 一 九), HCM City ( 一 九), Hòa Bình ( 一 七), Hà Nam ( 一 六), Nam Định ( 一 六), Bình Phước ( 一 五), Cao Bằng ( 一 五), Quảng Trị ( 一 四), Sơn La ( 一 一), Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu ( 一 一), Điện Biên ( 一 一), Quảng Ngãi ( 一 一), Hà Giang ( 一 一), Lạng Sơn ( 八 ), Lâm Đồng ( 七), Tây Ninh ( 六), Lai Châu ( 五), Bến Tre ( 五), Phú Yên ( 五), Cà Mau ( 四), Bắc Giang ( 四), Long An ( 三), Bình Định ( 三), Đồng Tháp ( 二), Khánh Hòa ( 二), Vĩnh Long ( 一), Kiên Giang ( 一) and Hậu Giang ( 一).

However,  一 五 provinces and cities did not report any COVID- 一 九 cases on Monday.

The two deaths bring Việt Nam’s COVID- 一 九 death toll to  四 三,0 六 七, accounting for 0. 四 per cent of total cases.

A total of  四, 七 二 三 patients were also given the all-clear on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to  九, 三 五 九, 七 六 三.

More than  二 一 七 million doses of COVID- 一 九 vaccine have been administered in the country to date, of which more than  二. 五 million have been given to children aged  五 to  一 一. — VNS
